Everyone on Scottsdale Reserve, NSW knows not to mess with Sue Connelly’s seed nursery. She’s a rusted-on volunteer who has built a nursery of threatened species seedlings and tubestock from scratch.
Her work has been critical for the revegetation of endangered woodlands in a heavily cleared landscape. Countless hours have been spent collecting seeds and nursing plant species to life before reserve managers take the saplings off Sue’s hands and plant them into the valley floor. Sue clearly has a green thumb and green blood flowing in her veins.
